All roads lead to Rome Santiago de Compostela!

It may just be the midweek blues talking, but a cross-country pilgrimage seems just the ticket to ditch the stresses of life right about now. Cue the Camino de Santiago. 

Let us explain, if you have a confused expression right now: it’s only one of the most famous pilgrimages in Europe. Since 812 AD, people from far and wide have donned their scallop shells and trekked hundreds of miles to reach the tomb of St James in Santiago, Spain.

It's not just pilgrims who make a ritual of these paths now. Still, this isn't the kind of trip where you stop at the local Maccies, steal some Wi-Fi and Uber your way to the finish line.
